About
A line for the average, not a pay office.
Average line is for people in Australia who want to know where a salary sits. The line is the full-time ordinary-time average. State averages use that same measure. Job and industry pages use medians, and they say so.
Guides explain a pay question in plain language and link back to the line, the states, and the data notes. They are not a Fair Work award lookup, a tax return, or a member login for a salary packaging provider.
Read the data notes before you treat a figure as yours. Your award, hours, and tax situation can move the result.
