How to read a salary as a year, a week, and an hour
When you look up a salary on this site, you see it in three forms: a yearly figure before tax, a weekly amount, and an hourly rate based on a standard 38-hour week. This makes it easy to compare any pay against the national benchmarks set by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and Fair Work.
For the keyword cristian volpato salary, no official figure is available from the ABS, Fair Work, or the ATO. That means the site cannot show a specific comparison. But the same tools work for any salary you want to check. You can place a salary on the line to see where it sits.
The national full-time average
The ABS Average Weekly Earnings survey for May 2026 gives the national full-time adult ordinary-time average as $2,083.70 per week. Multiplied by 52, that is about $108,352 a year. This is the line the site uses. It is an average, not a median, and it covers full-time adults only. The ABS also reports a full-time median of about $90,532 a year (from the Employee Earnings and Hours survey, August 2025) and an all-employees median of about $74,100. These medians give a different view because they are not pulled up by very high earners.
State and territory averages
Full-time averages vary across Australia. The ABS data for May 2026 shows:
- New South Wales: about $109,658 a year
- Victoria: about $106,137
- Queensland: about $106,064
- South Australia: about $102,450
- Western Australia: about $115,825
- Tasmania: about $96,008
- Northern Territory: about $103,173
- Australian Capital Territory: about $119,090
You can explore these differences on the states and territories page.
The minimum wage and awards
From 1 July 2026, the national minimum wage is $26.44 per hour, or $1,004.90 per week on 38 hours, which works out to about $52,255 a year. Award minimums rose by 4.75% from that date. Fair Work sets these rates. If you are on an award or an enterprise agreement, your minimum pay may be higher than the national minimum.
How the figures are set
The ABS collects average weekly earnings twice a year, for May and November. The data is not quarterly. The Employee Earnings and Hours survey is done every two years. The ATO publishes tax tables and thresholds. The site uses these official sources to keep comparisons consistent. You can read more about how the figures are set.
Reading your own salary
If you have a salary in mind, enter it into the tool. It will show the weekly and hourly equivalents and how far above or below the full-time average you are. The site also shows the gender pay gap: men's full-time ordinary-time average is about $113,412 a year, women's about $100,594. The gap in May 2026 was 11.3%, the lowest on record.

What if a salary is not published?
Not every person's salary is public. Cristian Volpato, for example, does not have a publicly reported salary in any official Australian source. The site can only show comparisons for salaries that are disclosed by the ABS, Fair Work, the ATO, or a named award. If you are curious about a particular role, you can check the relevant award or enterprise agreement, or look at industry averages.
Tax and take-home pay
The site shows salaries before tax. For the 2026–27 year, the resident tax rates are: nil up to $18,200; 15% from $18,201 to $45,000; 30% from $45,001 to $135,000; 37% from $135,001 to $190,000; and 45% above $190,000. The Medicare levy of 2% applies before any reductions. These rates help you estimate what you would actually take home.
